Arrival In Nairobi – Amboseli reserve
Morning pick up from Nairobi airport or hotel. Meet and greet your guide/driver and leave for Amboseli National Park for two nights accommodation at Kibo Safari camp. After check in and some refreshments, we leave for our first afternoon game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.
Amboseli National park
After Breakfast we leave for a full day game drive with the breathtaking Mount Kilimanjaro in the background. Here we will find massive herds of elephants, also giraffe, zebra and possibly Lions. We return for dinner and overnight at Kibo safari camp.
Amboseli – Nanyuki – Mt Kenya
After early breakfast we leave Amboseli and head to Nanyuki and check into Kongoni camp for some lunch. After lunch we visit Kenya’s Tallest mountain – Mt Kenya located in the national park for a game drive before heading back to camp for the night.
Mt Kenya – Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After our Early morning breakfast we leave for a full days game drive in the nearby Ol Pejeta conservancy. Spectacular conservancy which is home to a chimpanzee sanctuary. It also has the biggest black Rhino population in all of Kenya. The big 5 can be found here as well as the endangered African wild dog, Oryx, and the magnificent Grevvys Zebra. After full days game drive we head to the Samburu national park for our 2 nights stay at Sopa lodge – Samburu.
Samburu National Park
After Early morning breakfast at Sopa Lodge, we head out to explore the Samburu national reserve. Famous home of the late conservationists George & Joy adamson, who raised Elsa the Lion. The Samburu people are also pastoral relatives of the Maasai people with their colourful clothing. The Samburu wilderness is raw and untouched and is home to the Maasai Lion, Tanzanian Cheetah, Leopard, Elephant, cape Buffalo, Hippos, Grevvy’s zebra and reticulated Giraffe and much more. After 2 full days of game drive, we leave Samburu and head to Lake Naivasha ( Rift Valley).
Samburu to Lake Naivasha
After a morning breakfast we leave Samburu and drive to the famous Rift Valley Lakes heading to Sopa Lodge – Lake Naivasha. After check in and refreshments we head to the Fresh water lake which is home to over 400 bird species and a large population of hippo. We will take a boat ride past all the hippos and visit the stunning Crescent Island sanctuary . Here with our guides we walk amongst Giraffe, zebra, wildebeest and water buck. We then head back to Sopa lodge for dinner and a good nights rest.
In the morning after breakfast we Head for the main Event. Africa’s no 1 Safari park- Maasai Mara game reserve.
Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara national park
On route to the Mara we stop at the Great rift valley view point and take in the magnificent view over the plains before stopping briefly at the Maasai town of Narok for refreshments and a quick walk around.
We then drive through the Maasai villages toward Oldarpoi Mara camp located just 5 minutes from the Main gate of the great reserve. After check in we are treated to lunch by master chef Willy. This Camp is owned By Nelson Ole Reiyia co director of Real Maasai Safari tours. After Lunch we head out for our first game drive in Maasai mara in search of the big cats and plenty of wildebeest! Before heading back for a buffet dinner and a chat around the fire to discuss the days adventure.
Maasai Mara – Full day game drive
After breakfast we head out for a full day game drive and head to the Mara river Main crossing point in search of some action and some wildebeest crossing the river. We have lunch in the park and enjoy the sounds and sights of mother nature.
We head back for a Sundowner and witness a true African sunset which never fails to impress. Dinner @ oldarpoi in the main dining area.
Full day game drive Maasai Mara / overnight camping
after early morning breakfast we head out for full days game drive to different areas of the mara. Guests have the option of a full days game drive in Maasai mara, focusing on the wildebeest migration and possibly visiting the Talek river area in search of Leopards, before heading back to Camp at sunset. The other option will be to visit the Musiara marsh area where the BBC’s famous Marsh pride of Lions reside. Here we will set camp out the reserve with the Warriors and have dinner on the plains. We head back to Camp in the early morning.
Maasai Village tour and walking Safari
we visit a Maasai village and experience the Maasai culture. Here we can see how these amazing people have survived for hundreds of years without all the western essentials we take for granted. We enter the Maasai homes and go deep into their customs and experience a full Warrior dance. After the village tour we head back for Lunch at Oldarpoi. We then have an option for an afternoon game drive or a walking Safari with Maasai Warriors. Where we will visit a school built through the fundraising of Real Masai safari and Oldarpoi camp. For the fit, we can trek up a hill at the back of the camp which overlooks a breathtaking view of Siena Conservancy and Tanzania’s Serengeti in the back ground.
Road trip Back to Nairobi
After morning breakfast we pack our bags and head back to Nairobi. The drive back will pass through wild lands of the Maasai, where we can still see much wildlife. We arrive back in Nairobi in the afternoon where our safari adventure ends.
