The Wildebeest annual migration consists of at least 9 months inside Tanzania's Serengeti and approximately 3 months over the River into Kenya's Masai Mara. The Great Herds can usually be found in Serengeti from September to end of june each year. However Serengeti has so much more to offer than just the great Migration. It is home to all the big Cats, including all members of the big 5, plus hippo, wild dogs and large population of African birdlife.

Day by Day

Day 1

Serengeti Fly In Fly Out

Transferred to Arusha Airport for your flight to Serengeti time. Upon landing in Seronera, your guides will choose the best spotting locations for the time of year; we can spend time at the Hippo pool watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water happily living alongside the crocodiles, watch a big pride of lions, be in the middle of the migration, sometimes surrounded by wildebeest, sometimes by zebras, which travel with the wildebeest. We journey from the wide open plains to the kopjes: these volcanic rocky outcrops provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals and from the top we can look out across the vast grasslands of the Serengeti. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide us with the ultimate in game viewing, we will hopefully see all of the plain games; elephants, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, lions and it you are lucky the elusive leopard and cheetah, as well as huge amounts of interesting bird life, from the elegant secretary birds to the flightless ostrich. We return to our special camp for the night.

Day 2

We have a full day in this wonderful Serengeti heading toward where the migration of the wildebeest will be. Rising early to make the most of our time. The Great Herds embark on their annual migration. Acclaimed as the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth, where upto 2 million Wildebeest and upto 500,000 zebra and other migrating animals continue their annual journey through Serenget all the way up north to Kenya's Masai Mara. Dinner and Overnight at Shuhudia Tented Camp.

Day 3

Serengeti Fly In Fly Out

Your guide will take a different direction of game drive and explore the endless plain of the magical Serengeti for another full day game drive. Serengeti is home to all the main predators including, Lions, Cheetah, Leopard, Hyena and even wild dogs in certain parts. With so much food on offer the predators closely follow the migrating herds. We return for an epic Serengeti sunset, Dinner and overnight at Shuhudia tented camp.

Day 4

Serengeti Fly In Fly Out

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Seronera Airstrip for your flight back to Arusha where you will be met by Real Masai tours representative either to be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home or next destination.
