7 Days Follow the Wildebeest Migration ( night game drive included)

Our 7-day tented camp package Focuses on the Great Wildebeest migration. From the Months of Late June to October, the great herds of Wildebeest Flood the plains of the Maasai mara.

Our first 3 nights we settle into a luxury tent located in Nashulai private conservancy within the greater Masai mara. Evening game drives are not permitted in the Masai Mara, but in Nashulai they are. Experience a night game drive as we seek the large Hyena clan, Lions as the main predators. 

Our days are filled following the great migration of Wildebeest and the predators that hunt them. The Mara is also home to the big 5 and can be spotted on most days. The Final 3 nights accommodation we change location to a safari lodge located right on the Mara river. This closer proximity allows more time to focus on the great herds and hopefully witness a crossing of the river.

Day by Day

Nairobi - Maasai Mara (Nashulai conservancy)

Your 7 day Masai Mara Safari package commences with a Pick up by one of our representatives from Nairobi airport/hotel. We Drive south toward the spectacular Great Rift Valley for some incredible photography shots. We briefly stop at the Masai town of Narok for a quick tour of the town. We continue the scenic drive through rugged masai land inhabited by wild African wildlife, finally arriving at the camp, where we are welcomed by a Masai tribal dance. After a short break and some lunch, we set upon our first afternoon game drive in the world’s finest wildlife game reserve the “Maasai Mara”. We return back to camp for our talented chefs buffet dinner and chat around the fire. After a long day, we retire to our comfortable large permanent tents, for a hot shower and good night’s rest.

Full day game drive

Early Morning breakfast at the camp, we leave the camp for a full day game drive in the masai mara and explore the incredible concentration of diverse African wildlife. We are led by expert masai driver, the day promises to showcase some of Kenya’s best wildlife including the famous big 5. We take a break for lunch overlooking the great Mara River, as we follow the great wildebeest herds. We return to camp late afternoon for some light refreshments before dinner and a much needed good night’s rest after an action packed day.

Maasai Village tour & Evening Game drive

We wake up at the crack of dawn and head into the private conservancy for sunrise safari, before heading back to camp for breakfast. After some relax time, we head for a walk to a local Manyatta. We enter the village of the local Maasai and experience how they live in the wild. Lunch is served back at camp, with some relax time enjoying the pool and vast grounds of Oldarpoi. As the sun begins to set, our evening game drive commences once again as we head out into the conservancy in search of the night predators. We return back to Camp for buffet dinner and entertainment by the campfire.

Mara River

We say goodbye to Wageni camp after breakfast set off to our new accommodation located at the Mara river. Right in the midst of the action we set out for another full game drive in the Masai Mara. We focus on the Wildebeest and its crossing points. Lunch is served in the reserve so we dont miss any action. We return back to camp late in the afternoon for dinner and enjoy our new accommdation.

Follow the Wildebeest

Today we head in a different direction and explore different parts of the Mara. Staying within close proximity to the river, we follow the herds and look out for the big cats and other magnificent animals of the Maasai mara. Lunch is served in the park, as we head back to camp at sunset for refreshments and buffet dinner.

Morning and Late afternoon game drives

After breakfast we head out for a morning game drive to find some action. Returning back to camp mid morning for some free time to relax and enjoy the camp, before a buffet lunch. More free time after lunch to relax and rest, before heading out for a late afternoon game drive as the sun begins to set. Return to camp for some refreshments / sundowner with dinner served not long after.

Maasai Mara - Nairobi

After morning breakfast, we pack bags and head off into the Mara for a quick drive enroute to Nairobi. The trip back to Nairobi takes guests through the Great Rift valley, with spectacular views of the greater Mara region. Guests are taken directly to international airport or Nairobi hotel where your Safari adventure ends.
