The 9 Day safari explores diverse landscapes. A road trip takes you to the brilliant Meru National. Visit the Chimpanzee santuary at Ol Pejeta Conservancy. The road trip passes Mount Kenya on route to the Hippos and bird life on Lake Naivasha, Pink flamingo's of Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara National Reserve. Observe all five of the Big Five,  which includes all the big cats well as a huge amount of different bird species.

Day by Day

Nairobi - Meru National Park

Depart Nairobi as early as 0800 hours for Meru driving through the central highland with leisure stops along the way for some views arriving in time for lunch. Afternoon; head for a game drive: enjoy tracking White Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Cheetah, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Savannah Elephant, African Lion, and Leopard; across the vast Meru National Park. This park was also the former home of the famous Joy and George Adamson- of the “Born Free” book and film.

Full Day Meru National Park

After breakfast, leave for a full day game drive: wild animals to be spotted in Meru National Park include; large herds of Buffalo, Bushbuck, Eland, Duiker, Elephant, Gazelle, Giraffe, Genet, Hartebeest, Kudu, Impala, Waterbuck, and Gravy Zebra. You will also spot the Baboons, Jackal, Hyena, Kudu, Lion, Oryx, Mongoose, Oribi, Vervet Monkeys, and Warthogs. In addition, you may see Wild dogs, caracals, Bushbaby, Cheetah, Dikdik, Civet, Leopard, Bushpig, Otter, Porcupine, Black, and White Rhino. Along the rivers, you will see abundant Hippo and Crocodiles. Birdlife includes Peter’s fin foot which inhabits the Murera and Ura Rivers, the Pel’s Fishing Owl, Rollers, Bee-eaters, Kingfishers, Starlings, and numerous Weavers. Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Meru National Park - Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, leave for Ol Pejeta Conservancy to arrive in good time for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, visit Sweetwater’s Sanctuary; home to the only two remaining northern white rhinos. You will also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary which is a home to abused and orphaned chimpanzees where they are trained how to survive in the wild.

Full Day Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, go on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The reserve is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including all five of the Big Five (elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo), as well as other species.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy - Lake Naivasha

After breakfast proceed for game viewing en route Lake Naivasha, with a brief stopover at the Equator. Descend down the Aberdare ranges to Thompson falls hotel in Nyahururu with breathtaking views of waterfalls. After lunch, proceed east into the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha, cradled within the Valley. The lake is frequented by a wide variety of birdlife and you have the rest of the day to spend at your own leisure.

Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru National Park

After an early breakfast, depart from Lake Naivasha for Lake Nakuru National Park, your next destination. The lake and the adjacent woodlands and bushy grasslands make up the Lake Nakuru ecosystem. The park is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including flamingos (both greater and lesser) and other water birds. There are approximately 56 distinct kinds of mammals in the environment, including white rhinos, lions, buffaloes, and nearly 450 different species of terrestrial birds.

Lake Nakuru National Park - Masai Mara Game Reserve

Have your morning breakfast and check out of your lodge as you exit Lake Nakuru and make your way for the Masai Mara where you’ll arrive early in the afternoon and check-in at your lodge. Enjoy your lunch and spend your afternoon relaxing before departing for your afternoon game drive.

Full Day Masai Mara

With your lunch already packed for you, depart the lodge for a full-day game drive. This day is dedicated to the exploration of Masai Mara driving across the plains in search of the big cats (black manned lions, Cheetahs, and leopards with picnic lunch served at the Mara River site. You will have a chance to see all the Big Five Animals which include Lions, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino, and Buffalo. You will also have a chance to view other wild animals such as Zebra, Antelope, Warthog, Wildebeest, Cheetah, and Topi. After lunch, drive along the river to see the hippos and crocodiles thereafter continue with game drive and return to the lodge late afternoon

Masai Mara Game Reserve - Nairobi

Check out of your hotel after enjoying your morning breakfast at leisure and depart for Nairobi. You may choose to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. ($30pp). Thereafter, proceed to Nairobi for your Onwards travel arrangements.
